Hello, I am Jane, The Mum Who...
Teaches Baby Massage.
Before becoming a mum myself I worked with children and families in my professional life. I trained in counselling, lead an art project for adults with additional needs, facilitated parenting groups and worked in the community with babies, children and their parents as a family support worker.
I am a Certified Infant Massage Instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM). I believe Baby Massage is a wonderful way to connect with your baby and promotes the development of healthy attachments. I have massaged all three of my own babies and continue to as they grow.
I love to watch the babies who attend my classes grow and develop over the 5 week course, and to see their parents also growing in confidence as they get to know and understand their babies even better. I am fascinated and inspired by family dynamics, how every person, couple, family and relationship is unique.
Is a creative at heart.
I gained an A-level in Art, went on to study for a foundation in Art and Design and then at degree level at the London College of Fashion. After working in the fashion industry in London for a few years I re-trained and lead an art project for adults with additional needs.
Being part of a local art group enabled me to travel to Venice to draw and paint and to exhibit in Oxfordshire Art Weeks for several years. Designing my own website www.themumwho.com has been an enjoyable challenge and I continue to work on small design projects for other people including a local charity.
I am now a mum. The Mum Who runs this small business around full time mumming!
