Baby Massage safety guidelines, terms, conditions and disclaimer

The Mum Who is a fully insured and qualified Infant Massage Therapist and is certified through the International Association of Infant Massage. The programme taught is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.

The techniques taught by The Mum Who, when applied following the guidelines and when practised correctly, are therapeutic and beneficial for both you and your baby. The Mum Who cannot accept responsibility for injury claimed to have arisen from practise of these techniques.

When practising with your baby outside of the classes never rush anything. If you feel stressed or tense, take a break and try again later. Always ensure that you feel safe, secure and confident with the way you are holding and working with your baby. Never do anything that you do not feel comfortable with.

The Mum Who will never practise massage strokes on your baby. You remain responsible for your child throughout each class.

Course preparation
Please refer to the Baby Massage information page on The Mum Who website which details what you will need to bring to each session with you.

You and your baby may find it more comfortable if you tie your hair up and remove rings and other jewellery before the session.

The room will be warm so please wear comfortable and removable layers.

Please don’t bring your own oil, this will be provided during the first session.

Social media and privacy
The Mum Who may take photographs, these photos may be used for the Facebook page, website, leaflets and other advertising materials. You can opt out of this.

In order to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, The Mum Who asks that you:
•Refrain from divulging any information about other children and parents within the class without permission from those involved.
•Ensure that photographs or materials publised on social media sites do not identify other children or parents without their permission.

Booking and payments
Places are limited to keep the classes small for optimum comfort and enjoyment for you and your baby so please book early.

Your place on the Baby Massage course will be confirmed on receipt of a completed booking form and full payment.

Your place on the Baby Massage course must be pre-booked and paid for in full 7 days prior to the class. Payment is accepted by cash, cheque or electronic transfer and is required to confirm your place on the course.

Cancellations
Cancellations by The Mum Who:  The Mum Who reserves the right to cancel a course if there is a problem with the venue or class size. In the event of cancellation, The Mum Who will endeavour to offer you the opportunity to attend another class. If this is not possible your course or class fee will be returned.

Cancellations by you: if a cancellation is made 14 days prior to the start of the course then 50% of the booking will be refunded. If cancellations are made after this time The Mum Who cannot provide a refund. The reason for this is that there is little chance she will be able to re-book cancelled spaces and other bookings may have been turned down. Processing refunds will be also subject to a £1.50 admin charge. The Mum Who will refund money by electronic transfer to your bank.

Missed classes: The Mum Who cannot offer a refund for missed classes in the 5 week course.
